MAY'S RECAP

I presented on Halogen at Providence Hospital during the Washington State University Internal Medicine Academic Half-Day event for a few 2nd-year residents. I am grateful to play a part in shaping the evidence-informed, qualitative, and cultural competency component of healthcare and health equity. This was an opportunity presented to me by the Snohomish County Health Department. There are more updates to come on future collaborative work with Providence Hospital in the coming months!

I will also begin collaborative work with the Trauma & Resilience program of the Snohomish County Health Department later this fall after an energizing and introspective meeting earlier in May.

I drove up to Bellingham to volunteer and support at Whatcom Youth Pride. One of my favorite times of the year! To see young people living fully in their truth, consistently and organically uplifting their peers, and celebrating loudly and fully is life giving.

Book Update

Gravity is a Concentration of Understandings is getting ready to go to print and to be distributed the first week of August! I'm in the process of getting an LLC formed for Halogen so I can release book with the LLC.

I'm hoping to go on a book tour in the fall that would take me to about 5 cities. A portion of those proceeds will go back into providing copies of the book for free to Black and Brown trans communities. If you'd like to financially support the book tour and providing free resources to Black and Brown trans communities, donate using the button below in the "Become a Life Giver" section.

Learning Sessions

Halogen Learning Sessions are a way to learn about Halogen, holistic suicide awareness and prevention through abolition and dissecting stigmas, and catalyze thinking differently, deeply, and critically. So far, these have only been in person. However, coming soon, there will be an online learning curriculum so you can learn at your own pace anywhere you want.

If you're in Washington and would like to host an in-person learning session for your group, click the link below to learn more.

Stay curious.

Approach empathy as a verb. Tap into your humanness. Love deeply. Release all that no longer serves you. That mountain you're carrying, you were only meant to climb. Create more life givers that tether to the soul.
