The free photo shoots program for Black and Brown trans and gender diverse folks in Seattle and surrounding areas is thriving! This is a space for folks to love on themselves, celebrate anniversaries, and bring their vision to life. It's been a deeply spiritual and momentous ceremony spending time with folks, photographing them, and diving into conversations both light and deep.

"Thank you for driving all the way up to Birch Bay from Seattle to capture these beautiful pictures of me @remystyrk !!
This evening truly meant so much to me 🤍
Was an absolute honor to be photographed by the person who wrote the book that helped me get through this winter.
Please check out Remy’s book, “Gravity is a Concentration of Understandings” about suicide awareness in black and brown trans communities). Such a beautiful series of in depth conversations about existence, meaning and purpose.
You inspire me so much, Remy! Thank you so much for everything."

I usually go to California every years and the past couple years it's been to Joshua Tree. It is probably my favorite place in the U.S. This year, I camped there for 6 days and met so many queer and trans folks. Alongside getting to share my work with new folks, the trip was very spiritual and revelatory. More news to come on the collaborations and partnerships that are growing from this trip.

Approach empathy as a verb. Tap into your humanness. Love deeply. Release all that no longer serves you. That mountain you're carrying, you were only meant to climb. Create more life givers that tether to the soul.
