Gravity is a Concentration of Understandings is now available for purchase!
I took myself out for all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ last night to celebrate and reflect on the journey of this work, book, and commitment to myself and my community. It feels surreal to hold the book in my hand knowing it started as a loose idea in the notes app on my phone. I hope that you are able to find what you need from this book or discover something you didn't know you needed.
I can't wait to hear your thoughts, engage in conversations, and share more about the work with you. My virtual door is always open.
Please share this book with your friends and family!
Happy and introspective reading! 💡

Book Release Party
I’m hosting a book release party on September 10th at Wa Na Wari in the Central District in Seattle from 6-8pm. This event is geared towards artists and art lovers. I will read the introduction of the book and then we will all create art inspired by the book and prompts I’ve written while we listen to the playlist I listened to when writing the book. Instead of me just talking about the book, I want you to experience what the book is about! You can get your tickets by clicking the button below. The price of your ticket goes directly back into ensuring Halogen can provide more free books to Black and Brown trans communities.
There are 2 ticket types:
- 1. Signed Book and Ticket (for those who don't have a copy yet and want one)
- 2. General Admission (for those who already have a book)
I will be signing books that you bring too. Type 1 tickets are limited so I recommend buying those ASAP if you want one.

General Updates

July was quiet, for the most part, on the work side. I went back to Kansas/Missouri for a couple days for a multitude of reasons:
- Folks in Kansas City are interested in having Halogen expand there
- My brother and sister-in-law are pregnant
- My best friend from middle school, who is basically my sister, is also pregnant
- My other best friend from middle school is in KC for the year
Aside from being a preparing to be a double uncle - I got get some of my favorite food growing up, go to my favorites music stores and coffee shops, and meet new friends of friends.

Approach empathy as a verb. Tap into your humanness. Love deeply. Release all that no longer serves you. That mountain you're carrying, you were only meant to climb. Create more life givers that tether to the soul.
